Cancer doesn’t care whether or not you have health insurance.

Cancer doesn’t care how many bills you have to pay.

Cancer doesn’t care where you live or what kind of living arrangements you have.

Cancer doesn’t care what race or ethnicity you are.

No, cancer doesn’t care.

Though cancer does not strike all folks equally it does occur in all races and socioeconomic groups and it packs the same punch to hear the words,” You have cancer ”. 

This year 1160 Nebraska women will be told they have breast cancer and this year 220 Nebraska women will die from breast cancer.

This year 60 Nebraska women will be told they have cervical cancer, and though no one should ever die from cervical cancer a few will.

Two of the most preventable, detectible and treatable cancers are breast and cervical cancer.  The Every Woman Matters Foundation is raising money to provide some financial resources to women diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer who have been screened through the Nebraska’s Every Woman Matters Program and found to have breast or cervical cancer or cervical pre-cancer.
